| A large crowd was in attendance as Athletic hosted their Ayrshire opponents in the final league game of the season. A stunning goal from Boyd in the 40th minute sent Bellshill ahead in a closely fought encounter.
Talbot equalised in the 56th minute when Boyles low drive beat the helpless McNab in the home goal. To the delight of the home faithful Boyd re-acted first when Auchenleck keeper Stain could only parry Jordan's header and he fired home for what may prove a vital strike. Bellshill have avoided automatic relegation and other results will determine if they are drawn into the play offs. |
