  Arthurlie FC 2 Bellshill Athletic 1 - 15th March 2008
Bellshill travelled to Barrhead determind to continue their run of good results. Manager Tam McDonald fielded an unchanged team who won at Pollok on their last outing.

The visitors dominated the opening exchanges and efforts from Laughlan, McGeoghan and Felvus tested Evans in the home goal. There was little respite for the home defenders. A Stuart Boyd shot from the edge of the penalty box struck the bar 19 minutes in. Two minutes later Boyd opened the scoring after being played by Felvus.

Against the run of play Arthurlie equalised in the 24th minute when veteran strike Annand met a free kick from the left to head past McNab. Arthurlie come more into the game as an attacking force but Murray and Coulter at the heart of the Bellshill's defence stood firm. The second was marred by a serious injury to Arthurlie and Junior Scotland Midfield player Hughes. The incident happened in the 50th minute when his mistimed lunge on a Bellshill defender caused the sickening collision. After a 6 minute delay while the medical team treated him onfield Hughes was stretchered from the field of play as both sets of fans applauded him.

After the delay The Referee correctly restarted the game by awarding a free kick to Bellshill. Arthurlie took control of the midfield for a spell but only troubled McNab once when he got down low to his left to push Annands shot round the post when Sharp fired home from 12 yards following a corner kick. This spurned the Bellshill team up and for the last 10 minutes had Arthurlie on the back foot but the home defence managed to withstand the pressure and the game finished all square.
