  Bellshill Athletic 1 Beith Juniors 3 - 24 November 2007
Beith Juniors sitting ten places and nine places in the league were last week’s visitors. Manager Tam MacDonald made one change from the side who beat Kilsyth Rangers the previous week, Nicholls replacing Anton Franchetti who was joined on the bench by new signings Stuart Boyd and Alan Watson.

Both teams started cautiously and chances were few and far between with defenders dominating. Bath took the lead after 17 minutes following a Jamie McGeoghegan blunder, McLean slotted the ball past Scott McNab from 15 yards. A Flannery shot which went narrowly over the bar and a Nicholls effort in to the side net were the only threats for Beith keeper Wright.

Beith increased their lead in 31 minutes when J Jack took advantage of a Marc Murray slip to increase the visitors lead. The first half ended in controversy as Bellshill’s Barry Nicholls was ordered off following a tackle which barely warranted a yellow card and Brian Felvus was cautioned for persistent fouling.

The second half was a drab affair with Beith’s Reid scoring 2 minutes after the break and Bellshill sub Boyd scored a consolation goal in 59 minutes.
